Painted Honeyeater (Grantiella picta), monotype genus. New for the Big Zigzag (seen only once before, near Deniliquin, QLD, 2018). Also the 4th of the 4 “Painted Aussie birds” to be added to BZ list. The 3 other “Painted”:

Speckled Warbler (Pyrrholaemus sagittatus), Brisbane Valley Rail Trail–Coominya, new for the Big Zigzag list. Seen in the past only once near Bacchus Marsh, VIC, 2018. Member of Acanthizidae (Gerygones, Thornbills, Scrubwrens, and Allies). Sharing the genus Pyrrholaemus with 2 other Australian endemics: Pilotbird (Pycnoptilus floccosus) & Redthroat (Pyrrholaemus brunneus).
